10 Ten Tips when bringing a Baby to Vegas

Are babies welcome in Vegas? Yes, but to a certain extent. It is the city of sin but it is totally doable with a baby. Here are some tips…

1) Hotel- Find a hotel with a kitchenette so you don’t have to pay extra for a mini-fridge (Vegas charges per day for mini-fridges). We choose the Vdara Hotel because of the kitchen and second, it’s a hotel without a casino. Another hotel is The Signature at MGM Grand which also has a separate entrance, pool, and no casinos.

2) Car Seats aren’t needed in Taxis in Vegas BUT are needed for car-sharing services like Uber and Lyft. We brought our car seat because just in case. We used the Cosco Scenera NEXT Convertible Car Seat, an affordable lightweight car seat.

3) Buffets are always kid-friendly- Most buffets are equipped with high chairs and are pretty loud so no one will notice if your baby is crying. Also with buffets, you can always find something to eat for your babies/kids.

4) Take advantage of all the Free Show in Vegas… the Bellagio Fountains, the statue show at Caesar’s Palace, Mirage Volcano, and Treasure Island Pirate Show.

5) Bring a Baby Carrier- We preferred to use the carrier rather than a stroller because the Casinos were super crowded. We used the Moby Wrap Baby Carrier or dad likes to use the Ergobaby Omni 360 All-Position Baby Carrier.

6) There aren’t that many Diaper Changing Station in Vegas or maybe I couldn’t find them. So be ready to get creative… most of the time there is a table or surface in the bathroom that I was able to change the baby on. I liked carrying around the Skip Hop Pronto Changing Pad

7) If you are going to a nice restaurant, do a little research on what type of restaurant it is. We like choosing the larger restaurants with a livelier atmosphere. We went to Gordon Ramsay Hell's Kitchen it was a large and very lively restaurant. I believe they had high chairs available but we always bring a portal highchair just in case. We use the Inglesina Fast Table Chair

8) Babies wake up early, take advantage of walking around the Las Vegas strip in the morning with no crazy drunks.

9) Of course babies aren’t allowed at bars but there are to-go cups in Vegas. We grabbed to-go drinks from the bar and sat in the common places to finish them

10) Hanging by the Pool was our favorite activity while in Vegas so pick a hotel that has a separate pool from the typical Vegas pool parties. Vdara had a very calm pool scene so did Encore to my surprise.
