Buy tickets in advance. With the reopening, reservations are required when tickets are purchased. In California, San Diego is in the Orange Tier and considered a theme park so the park will be open with 25% capacity, when it hits the Yellow Tier then it will be 35% capacity. Guest under the age of 3 does not require a reservation.
2. Book Tours and Animal Interactions beforehand- There are a number of special
animals interactions like dolphin encounter or sea otter meet that SeaWorld offers. These special interactions are an extra cost and small groups. If you are interested, book them when you are booking your tickets since these sell out quickly.
3. Familiarize yourself with the new COVID guidelines – Masks are required for all
guests over the age of two. Before you enter the park a temperature check is required for all guests. Guest are also encouraged to social distance. Many of the indoor attractions have a limited capacity which means lines.
4. Buy a Parking Pass in advance. There are three options for parking $20 for General,
$30 for Up Close, and $35 for VIP parking, which is even closer. If you get there early no need to buy up-close parking, general should be fine.

5. Arrive before the park opens- SeaWorld opens at 10am, get to the parking lot around
930. We made the mistake and got to the parking lot at 10am, and it took us an hour just to park! Also, there are extra steps to get into the park, like temperature check and security line even before you get to the main entrance.

6. Arrive Early for Shows – During the reopening there is a limited amount of showing
because of the need to sanitize between shows. Shows are at half capacity so the popular shows are packed before it starts, Dolphin and Sea Lion show especially. Here are four shows to watch the Sea Lion Show, Orca Show, Dolphin Show, and the R is for Rescue Show Sesame Street Show. We suggest 30 minutes before the show starts. in There is an option for reserved seating for an extra fee that you can book on the SeaWorld App
7. Bring an extra set of clothes- Just in case you and your kids want to sit in the “splash
zone” because it’s really a “soaked zone” especially at the Orca Show
8. Outside food is allowed, bring snacks for your little ones to snack on in line for
attractions or waiting for shows so they don't get bored.
9. Bring a Stroller or Baby Carrier- Seaworld is a big park for those little feet, bring a
stroller or if you forget one, stroller rentals are available for $25 for the day, and you can make your reservations Online.
10. Download the App for Map and Showtimes – The SeaWorld is a good way of
managing showtimes and if you need to book reserved seating and special animal encounters.
