Logistics: I think we have found it, some of the best Poke outside of Hawaii, at Ali'i Fish Company. What exactly is Poke? It’s a Hawaiian dish of raw fish cut into cubes and marinated with sauce. Usually, Poke is made with raw tuna and marinated with soy sauce and sesame oil but now there are so many different types of Poke and sauces. Ali'i Fish Company has two locations, El Segundo, and their newest location in Torrance. Ordering is easy here, order at the counter, grab your number, find a seat, and they’ll call you when your food is ready.
Ambiance: Ali Fish company is a casual fast-food restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating which is first come first serve. Lunch is usually busy with workers from around the area and pick-up orders. Seating is available for parties of less than 4-5 people, if your group is larger, you’ll probably have to split your group up between tables. Kid-Friendly? High Chairs aren’t really available nor is a kids menu but my daughter loves the fried fish here.
Food: Ali Fish Company is open Every day 11 am – 8:00 pm. Their fish is flown in from Hawaii daily, so you know they use high-quality, fresh ingredients. Here are a few dishes we have tried:
Poke Bowl- Poke on a bed of rice, you can have your choice of one or two poke flavors. We usually get the two flavors some of our favorites are Spicy Ahi, Hawaiian Ahi, and Ginger-Soy Ahi. They also have Onion Limu, Sweet & Spicy, Lava, Ponzu Salmon, Garlic Shrimp, and Tofu. Call shop for availability. This is the main star of this place, all the Poke we have tried were always fresh and delicious, the ahi melts like butter in your mouth. All their flavors are perfectly blended so the fish is still the star of the meal. We can't get enough of this place! If you love their Poke you can bring some home, they sell it by the pound and half-pound.
Fish Nuggets- Deep-fried fish with a delicious dipping sauce. This is a great appetizer to start off with, also a hit with my daughter. It is the perfect size for kids to grab and munch on. The fish is perfectly cooked, soft, and not dry at all.
Original Ahi Burger seared ahi patty with cheese, sprouts, spread, tomatoes, and onions. The Ahi Burger is perfectly cooked and juicy. The burger was a little on the small side for me but I also added the side of chip and dip and it filled me up for lunch! Ahi Burger is fully cooked so it gives a good option for people who don't eat raw fish.
