What To Know About Visiting OstrichLand USA

With over 100+ ostriches and emus, OstrichLand USA is a great family fun spot before heading to Solvang. These ostriches are also known as “Buellton’s favorite pets.” At OstrichLand you can feed the ostriches and emus or you can just enjoy watching these giant birds.



When is it open? Daily from 9am- 5pm, daily, but 4:30pm is when they let the last group in.


How much and what is included? Entrance to the Park is $5 for Adults, $2 for Children 12 and under, and children under 2 free. Military Discount is also available with a valid military ID. Extra cost for feeding the Ostrich $1 per bucket of food. Cash and Credit Card are accepted payments.


Logistics: Parking is free, parking is in the dirt, not a paved road. COVID: Masks are required for guests over 3 years old, social distancing is carried out. There are also hand sanitizer and handwashing stations are all over the farm.


What to expect & tips?

  • Get your tickets online and make reservations especially if you are going on a weekend. Lines can be long on the weekend without reservations

  • Try to get a reservation or get to the ostrich farm early, they restrict feeding the ostriches if the farm gets too busy

  • When feeding the Ostrich hold the bowl tight, these ostriches can get aggressive and steal your bowl.

  • The Emus are more friendly than the Ostrich

  • Stop by the gift shop to see the giant ostrich egg

  • This place is dog friendly, but dogs need to be on a leash
